Ok I admit it … I like a superior oaked chard. Not more than baked … just so! A ideal companion for scallops, a genuine ratatouille moment. So we planned a decadent meal for the evening. Scallops, brussel sprouts and a grainy rice mix, and this chard …. Pale in colour with a good inviting apple/pear nose. On the mid palate the wine matches the nose with some beautiful apple/pear fruits. On the medium length finish the wine displays some good slightly creamy texture along with some good vanilla and butterscotch. It is good and dry, and just sufficient oaking to add some good complexity to the wine. It went seriously properly with the scallops. I would give this wine an 88 … For the value, it is a superior deal, and is one particular of my go to chards! I final reviewed the 2015 vintage of this wine and enjoyed it, I’m thrilled the new vintage is just as superior. I’ve had a quantity that have come and gone as my go tos. Distinctive wine makers, style adjustments and so forth …
